A shocking discovery takes place in Murder in a Small Town Season 1 finale
Murder in a Small Town Season 1 Episode 8 revealed the identity of the unidentified woman referred to as Jane Doe. In the penultimate episode, Karl asks Cassandra to find someone who could draw the victim's portrait, and she immediately suggests Tommy.
Tommy is a teacher at the high school attended by Devon, played by Alisha Newton, and Holly, played by Dakota Guppy. He begins with the task by the end of episode 7. The portrait is then circulated on social media, in the hope of finding someone who knew the woman.
After looking at the portrait, Sid recalls the memories of his sister who was also a victim of drug abuse, similar to the unidentified woman. Later in the episode, the police department receives a significant lead from Robert Cross, a talent agent in Los Angeles.
Later in the Murder in a Small Town finale, Cross claims that the woman is Sally Dublin who stopped taking drugs and chose to lead a sober life. The agent also informs that Dublin told him about meeting a friend named Roger Galbraith, who interestingly turns out to be Cassandra's close friend.

However, Roger soon gets his name out by voluntarily showing up at the police station for questioning. Though he is no longer a suspect, Sid and Yen are still in doubt and later discover that Roger was involved in Cassandra's car theft.
Turns out that Roger was helping out his sister Gail who had been struggling with drug abuse. He also confesses to receiving a call from Sally about her visits to the town, but he ignores it.
Meanwhile, in another scene of the Murder in a Small Town finale, Devon's obsession with her art teacher Mr. Cummins leads to a dangerous situation. Initially, it looks like Devon admires Mr. Cummins's art, but gradually her admiration turns into obsession and she ends up disappearing amid the fear of the serial killings in Murder in a Small Town.
Enraged by her daughter's sudden disappearance, Devon's mother blames Alberg for failing to protect the town. She expresses her disappointment in the town’s police chief as Devon went missing.
